Pancakes in corbett
Jun 04
Today Eric and I went to Corbett for the annual firefighters pancake fee. Eric’s aunts and uncle had invited us for the day. We went early in the morning for a few hours. We got there and had a chance to visit with Kathy and enjoy some great pancakes, ham and coffee. It was such a nice time. I couldn’t help but feel like it was a little like being back in Othello. I do like small towns, just can’t live there forever but it’s great to visit and it’s always nice to spend time with Kathy and Bruce. After we had some grub with Kathy we went in search of Bruce and found him directing traffic. What a scary thought. LOL. We also got a chance to see a bunch of old cars too. I guess some class car group was also in Corbett for the day. They lined up about 20+ old time cars by the fire house so we call could walk by them and look. I was so mad that I forgot the camera. I really need to get better at brining it to things. All in all we had a GREAT time in Corbett. I really wished I would have thought enough to bring Miles, he would have loved it all.
After we left Corbett We headed home to “the other side” of the river. On the way we stopped at the Troutdale Outlet Mall. Originally we went to see about getting new beaters, etc for the Kitchen Aid mixer. It ended up that we took time and did a little shopping. It’s very rare that Eric and I both want to shop at the same time so we have to take advantage when we get the chance. It was a bunch of fun. We’d go into one of the stores and find things we both liked and then go in the same dressing room and try them on. It was nice to see great clothes on each other and find clothes that fit. It was a lot of fun.
