Today was like the best ever. I mean, package day. I got three :0
Package 1- the remote for my camera. I can’t wait to use it. I have a million (OK 80) bottles to take pictures of and post to ebay to sell for my mom

Package 2 – Another, yes, ANOTHER font CD. My goal is to have all the Creating Keepsakes CD’s and I’m just about there. One more, coming in the mail. The cool thing, I’ve NEVER paid full price for any of them.

Package 3 -One book, “The Digital Photography Book” I bought because had recommended it at Christmas. The other book, “Photoshop Filter Effects Encyclopedia” I had checked out at a local book store and really liked it because it showed examples and how to use all the Photoshop filters. Can’t wait to use them.

It’s finally done, I can’t believe it’s finally done. I want to send a shout out to because without her help the binding wouldn’t have gotten done. Tomorrow we head over to give Ethan his birthday/Christmas present and then on the plane to AZ. woo hoo.

Sorry I’ve been out for a while. I’ve been busy. Can you believe that? Me, unemployed but keeping busy. For the last week I’ve been helping the local scrapbook store move to their new location so that’s kept me busy. I’m also getting ready for the trip to Arizona and coordinating with my friends while we’re there. Other than that, not a lot going on right now.
Oh, got my new computer about a week and a half ago and have been so happy. I had an issue after I got all my programs, pictures, etc on and the HD needed to be wiped clean so I’ve spent time this week getting everything back on. Finally, that’s done, I think. I’m loving my new computer and got the last of the software i wanted. I was so bummed though because I bought the Adobe PhotoShop Elements for Mac because I loved the program on the PC with the timeline, easy tagging, etc. Well, the Mac version doesn’t even have the same options or GUI so I bought something I don’t even like and probably won’t use. I’m just going to use iPhoto as it’s A LOT easier and better. That’s about the only frustrating thing.
I still have my cough from the cootie sickness I picked up last time I was in Washington. I’m hoping the trip to AZ will dry it out and it will go away. if it’s not gone by the time we get back, I’ll head to to Dr finally and get checked out. It’s just frustrating because Baylee doesn’t like the sound so she runs upstairs when I cough and then at night she sleeps in the other room.
Well, off to clean the house and get ready to leave on Sunday.

It’s 7:20 AM on a Sunday morning and I’m sitting in a quiet house writing this post. It’s sort of nice to be up this early just by myself, enjoying the pounding rain on the windows, the fire a great book and the silence. I think it’s especially nice because this Thanksgiving weekend has been a little on the hectic side. Thursday we had the best Thanksgiving out at Kathy and Bruce’s place in Corbett again. It was nice to see them, Jim and Eric’s parents. This year we got to help with the food and let me tell ya it was yummy. I don’t know what was my favorite this year, maybe the corn pudding since I didn’t have to fight off for the last of it this year. Corn pudding is something we never had at my families dinner but it’s something that’s super yummy that I love. Too tasty.
One of the best, OK THE BEST THING, was the stain glass window that Bob and Julie brought down from my mom. Last time she was here in October we figured out a design for the guest bathroom window upstairs which was super coolio (pictures to be posted later). Any way, when mom had left she said she’d be doing it for our combined Christmas/birthday present but it wouldn’t be done until after the first of the year. Well that little stinker got it done in a week. My mom is so awesome, because she did it so fast, it looks AMAZING and she’s just the sweetest person ever. She got it done because she knew I’ve been a little down because of the whole, lay off, no jobs this time of year blues. All I can say is…. MY MOM ROCKS!!!!
Friday/Saturday and today Eric’s been working out at the winery and I’ve been out there too help them. I was in charge of the food for them this year which meant a lot of cheese, meats, fruit and a little bit of this and that. It’s interesting to see how people eat at places like that because it’s just supposed to be a little snack and some people go up and grab enough for a whole meal, like it’s a buffet or something, crazy people. Friday when we came home from working Eric’s mom and dad , OK Eric’s mom had made us dinner which was such a treat. Saturday night we all went to PF Chang’s and had a great meal. It was so nice to get off my feet and just sit. My feet haven’t hurt like that since I was a teacher when the first week of school my feet hurt because I was standing all day.
Learning is coming along with my new Mac, I still Totally love it and I’m glad I bought it but I feel like I know about 5% of what this machine can do. and have been super great with answering all my silly questions. I’m finally using the stickies feature and making a “post it” for each question and then asking Greg a whole bunch at one time so I’m now harassing him all day. What’s interesting to me is how bad the search engine is for a lot of help file systems. I keep trying to force myself to look in the help files but most of the time I don’t find what I need. It makes it nice to have the resident expert to be able to ask.
Off to read my book some more.

I am looking for a blank monthly calendar about 11×17, or just big enough to put on a door (you know the kind with the squares and you just add the month/days) made of a magnetic sheet that I can put on my steel door. I would like the surface to be white board so I can write on it. Basically, I have a steel door and want to put a calendar on it without ruining the door.
Anyone out there that has any ideas would be great!
