Off on vacation

Dec 18

Today we headed to Othello for part of the holiday. I hate the drive to Othello, there’s nothing there to look at. This time we took the roads to the Tri-cities and went from there which makes it all the more painful since there’s really not a thing to look at besides the occasional town and the rolling fields of nothingness. We ended up not getting out-of-town until WAY after noon because “the boys” were up late the night before watching a Sonics game, playing videos and just general hanging out. I think we got out-of-town around 1 or so after a stop to Coffee People for a pumpkin creme latte. We got to mom’s about 5 ish which wasn’t so bad.

Visiting the babies

Jun 16

Wednesday Eric and went to Othello for a few days to spend time with my mom. We got there and hung out for a while, settled into our room and let the dogs check each other out. Wiggles, Mom’s dog, wasn’t too sure about Baylee. I went and got my hair cut and mom came along. Eric decided to go up to the Warden golf course and play a round. SO he was off for a few hours. He had a good time. I guess he played by himself and said it was very relaxing. Mom and I went out to Israel Rodriguez’s house to help feed the triplets. Israel and his wife have three 5 month old babies. They are so cute. Alex, Drake and Cade? I think? if I remember. They are so cute and fun. They were born preemies and have had a difficult life but they’re doing really well now. Israel gave us a tour of his gardens and house. It’s funny to see. Here’s this guy that was very much a bachelor and now he’s married, has babies and he’s remodeling his house to accommodate it all. It’s very cool some of the features they’re putting into the house. Once we finished we headed home. Eric actually beat us home. We did dinner and that was about it.

Vacation day 3

Jun 13

Sunday Eric and Bob and company went golfing in Moses Lake and Kathy, Julie and I went to my mom’s in Othello to work in the wedding invitations. We got them all put together and the envelopes addressed. I was feeling a lot better about things getting done. When the guys got done golfing they came down to Othello and we had a BBQ at mom’s with family. It was so nice. I love her house. I love my mom she’s such a wonderful person. Oh to be like her some times?.. did I really say that?

Memories

Nov 09

Eric and I are still in Ellensburg. I took tomorrow off so we could have a good long weekend. Eric’s mom made us all waffles this morning. She’s so nice. Every time we come she makes breakfast and takes care of us. It’s not like we expect it she’s just so nice. I appreciate it so much. I often offer to help clean the dishes and things link that but she takes care of it or we convince the boys to do it. I love Julie.

I love Eric. It’s funny to think that we’ve been together for almost a year and a half. About a year ago we moved into together. How different was that. I remember then being excited and yet and the same time nervous, nervous that I was going to do something to totally screw things up. We’ve had little bumps along the way but I can really say I LOVE ERIC. Every day he does something little that makes me love him even more. He’s so good for me. He keeps me sane and level headed. he brings so much into my life and then to try and put that into words is beyond hard, it’s near impossible. It’s funny, we tell each other alot “I love you” and yet those three words are so small but mean so much. They’ll never capture the degree that I love Eric. OK, I gush too much.

Today Julie and I went to Othello to see my mother and raid her house. I collected all the photographs she’s got and I plan on scanning them all and burning them on CDs. I really want to make sure to capture them all and organize them now so that maybe I can use them in scrapbooks and things. When we were in Othello mom took us to Eagle Creek Lodge, the new lodge on radar hill. Julie had never been there before. It’s got a beautiful view of the area, even better when it’s not overcast. We happened to run into Josh’s friend Gabe. I guess he’s a cook there. When we were done we went back to my mom’s and I started collecting all the photos. What a project. It was sort of cool though I found a bunch of my grade school photos. You know, the ones with the lame background of the clouds, or something like that. She had them for every year. WOW… I even remembered some of the clothes. One of the pictures I had this dress that my mother made me. I was so happy. I had a smile from ear to ear. I really need to copy those pictures and scrapbook them. Won’t that be a HUGE project….
